What this retreat is
IIWe see out the darkest night of the year and welcome the light back: slowly, warmly, in no hurry about stepping into the turn of the year.
The solstice is a turning point. You can close a year without making a list of it, and live it through the body instead: let go of what has been, sit in the quiet and listen for where you want to go next.

The place and the shape of it
IVA wooden house in the winter forest, a warm outdoor tub and a sauna kept hot all evening.
Three days at a December pace: practice in the morning, a long walk through what daylight there is, then candles, sound and warmth in the evening. In between, as much quiet as you need.
